Like that of many other Caribbean islands, Saint Lucia weather is hot, but the tropical climate tempered by cooling trade winds during most of the year. Temperatures range from 70-90 degrees (21-32 C). Dry season runs from December through May, and the island typically sees increased rainfall in the summer through November.
Luckily for guests of Cap Maison, which is located on the northern tip of Saint Lucia in Castries, the region’s beaches are hot, but tempered by cooling trade winds. This cooling breeze drifts into Smuggler’s Cove, our cozy, quiet beach that offers resort guests complimentary snorkeling, kayaking, hobie cats and a delicious beachside bar and grill, The Naked Fisherman, which offers stunning views of the Caribbean Sea.
The best time of year visit, according to U.S. News and World Report, is during the months of May and June, based on an analysis of weather and price trends. With temperatures in the high 70s and 80s and often more affordable room rates than in the summer and late fall, the site recommends springtime especially for music lovers to attend the St. Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival. Additionally, the site says, December through April sees the biggest crowds – making room rates typically higher during this time.
Visitors who don’t want to get their parade rained on should keep in mind average precipitation spikes July through November, with an increased chance for hurricanes.
