In The Water
At Cap Maison, whilst you may have the luxury of your own private pool, there is also a series of infinity pools by the cliff's edge, where food and drinks flow. Our guests tend to gravitate here at sunset. Another quieter pool is within the Spanish style courtyard, accessed through a brick barrel-vaulted walkway.
Smugglers Cove Beach & Local Beaches
Enchanting Smugglers Cove beach nestles below the resort, accessed by stairs. This offers safe bathing (in Bombay Sapphire-clear waters) and the best snorkelling in the north of the island as well as non-motorised water sports. Cap Maison guests may use the loungers and towels, and our own Smugglers Cove beach bar is open from 10am each day. The advantage of Cap Maison is that, despite its secluded feel, it is near to plenty of other beaches and therefore a great beach hopping base including Pigeon Island National Park, Rodney Bay and the wild golden sand Atlantic Coast beaches.
St. Lucia diving & Kite Surfing
Being volcanic with clear water and deep drop offs, St.Lucia is renowned for its unique diving experiences. We can direct you to several dive companies, however we recommend Scuba Steve www.scubastevediving.com who is based near the hotel, takes smaller groups and can even provide diving instruction and lessons in the hotel pool. Kite surfing has also become popular in St. Lucia, with world championships being held in the south of the island, and one of the best sites is five minutes away from Cap Maison run by the island’s only professional female kite surfer www.kitesurfingstlucia.com.
