St Lucia has a wide variety of experiences – from Fish Friday at Anse La Raye and Gros Islet Friday Street Party, to an aerial tramway or zip-lining, mountain bike trails, walking in the rain forest, or visiting the two botanical gardens, Mamiku on the east coast and Diamond on the west coast with its sulphur baths, both with historic stories. Pigeon Island is very close by and is a favourite spot for a gentle climb to its fort. The colourful local markets allow you to soak up local flavours and spices, and a wide range of duty free shops are in several locations.

Cap Maison I – St. Lucia cruising

Cap Maison has its own handsome 46 foot Sea Ray luxury motor launch, which is available privately and exclusively for Cap Maison guests. The expansive foredeck is wonderful for island viewing and sunbathing, the generous aft deck pulls out to make a double couch, inside are 2 cabins and a fully equipped galley and salon, all air conditioned, with cherry wood mouldings and soft decor.

The ultimate in comfort, guests can take a day cruise down the west coast of the island and see the legendary Pitons – if you have not seen St Lucia from the sea you have missed one of the most beautiful sites in the world. You can either visit one of the local restaurants en route, or have our chef prepare something for you.

Cap Maison 1 is also available for spectacular tailor made overnight cruises to the Pitons and the world famous Grenadine islands with their picture book sandy islands and turquoise waters. There is no better way to see the Caribbean and add on some adventure to your stay. Sunset cruises may also be booked. The crossing to Martinique for a culinary trip, takes between 1 and 2 hours depending on the weather.

West Indian Cooking Classes

Guests can add a delicious flavor to their lives by exploring the cuisine and indigenous products of the Caribbean together, under the expert guidance of the resort’s Executive Chef Craig Jones, of the Cliff at Cap restaurant. Chef Jones will arrange private cooking classes and take guests on a market tour of St Lucia to gather up the day’s produce. US$150 per couple.
