START OVER IN BEAUTIFUL SAINT LUCIA
STARTING OVER
A new year marks a new beginning, the expectations of new opportunities and a chance perhaps to put right the wrongs of the year before. In the context of 2020, however, that is a tall order and it feels like we are all “Starting Over”.
There is some light at the end of the tunnel. We have been open since October 2020 and have been fortunate to have had an almost full house over the past several months.

CAP MAISON 2021

SAINT LUCIA 2021
In the initial stages of this awful pandemic, the Saint Lucia government acted swiftly, with the result that Saint Lucia had one of the best track records, in coping with the spread of the disease.
During this second phase, however, although small by comparison to other countries, the number of cases in the community are higher, yet still well controlled.

COVID-19 TESTING
As you will of course know by now travelers returning to most destinations (including the US and Canada) now require a negative Covid-19 Test taken within 2 days before the return flight (from the date of the test). The UK no longer require a test to be taken prior to the return journey
Rest assured we are fully prepared at Cap Maison and in fact now that the antigen test suffices we do not see this new requirement as a major setback and we hope you feel the same
We have a full time nurse on property who can perform the swabs in the comfort and seclusion of the resort. Please allow 24 hours for the results of the Antigen test to be returned
We have been advised by various Government bodies (including from yourselves) that the antigen test is acceptable for return to the US and the UK (we are waiting on Canada). This is a nose swab. The results are also much quicker – 30 minutes from when the testing facility receives the sample which means effectively results will be returned the same day. PCR Tests take 48 hours for results to be returned
The PCR test taken in room costs US$150 per person and the antigen test costs US$25 per person. At Cap Maison we will include the costs of the antigen test in our rates. Clients preferring the full PCR test will only have to be the difference (US$125 per person).
PEACE OF MIND TRAVEL
Cap Maison has partnered with Covac Global.

IMPORTANT UPDATE
The following changes for international arrivals, in-transit passengers and returning nationals will be implemented starting on Saturday, April 2, 2022,
- Fully vaccinated travelers and in-transit passengers aged 5 and over do not require a test to enter Saint Lucia.
- All unvaccinated travelers must present a negative RT- PCR COVID-19 test, taken up to five days prior to entering Saint Lucia.
- All travelers must register their information and upload test results online prior to travel on www.stlucia.org/covid-19. On completion, they will receive an automatic ‘ready to go’ email. The previous two-step approval process is no longer required for boarding.
Rapid antigen tests must be administered by a healthcare provider. Self-administered tests and saliva tests are not accepted. UK NHS tests are not valid for travel.
As a fully vaccinated* arrival you have expanded access to the island and will not be required to quarantine. If you are travelling with children aged 5-17 years and you would like them to also be exempt from quarantine they will need to be retested on arrival at your cost, and they must remain in quarantine until the results of the test are known. Once the test is negative they will not be required to quarantine.
*Fully vaccinated – two weeks has passed since the second dose of a two-dose vaccine, or since a single-dose vaccine. Vaccine proof must be presented on entry to Saint Lucia.
It’s so peaceful and relaxing here and so relatively normal compared to the rest of the world right now. Our Covid woes just melted away with the first sunset drink
