The first things that strike people going on St Lucia honeymoons are the lapping waves of the Caribbean Sea, the chilled out atmosphere and the delicious food that visitors can smell all around the island. The island is a perfect place to begin your new life together, but don’t think that you’ll want to spend all your holiday in your resort: there’s plenty of entertainment to be found during St Lucia honeymoons, not least the St Lucia Jazz Festival. Celebrating its 21st birthday this year, this spring smorgasbord of music is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the festive spirit of the island.

Since its humble beginnings as a marketing drive, the festival has grown strongly to become one of the most popular in the region, with people travelling from around the world to enjoy some springtime jazz. Those on St Lucia honeymoons between April 30th and May 13th will be able to enjoy a slice of the action. This year’s headliner is Lionel Richie, but if he doesn’t sound ‘jazz’ enough for you then you might want to dip into acts ranging from Joshua Redman, the Gypsy Kings, and Ziggy Marley, to local stars such as Luther Francois, Richard Payne, Teddyson John, Derek Yarde and Ronald ‘Boo’ Hinkson.
